November 15, First training. I learned how to lay a beginner track. I also learned how to keep Lois on the track, moving forward, keeping the veering to a minimum.
I will practice the article games to strengthen the indication.
I need to purchase a harness before having her work more tracks.
Next practice sessions will be 20, 30, 40. Then 30, 40, 50.
Thank you for a fun day!
Hi Chris - Welcome to the class! Sounds like a good start for you and Lois! Just a quick comment to let you know that for some reason the video you uploaded is unavailable.
ReplyDeleteLois is such an enthusiastic partner! I'm glad you both are in class!
ReplyDeleteAs Anne mentioned, the videos are unavailable. If you are using YouTube, check the "Visibility" setting. You need it to be either Public or Unlisted for us to be able to view it. Yours might be listed as Private and that's why we can't see them. And don't worry, I've accidentally done the same thing several times!
RedRidge Pet Market is one place in the west end of Richmond that carries a number of the Ruffwear harnesses in case you want to take Lois there to try on different sizes. No matter what harness it is, you want the harness to be fairly snug so it's not sliding side to side on her body but you don't want it to restrict her shoulder movement either.
I am not sure what went wrong with the videos. I loaded them from my phone. I do have a go-pro. I will try that next time.
ReplyDeleteI will check out RedRidge. Thank you for the suggestion.
